Help Us Raise £100,000 towards our new roof
For over 20 years, Osprey Leisure Centre has been at the heart of the Portland community. Built from the vision of two friends and run as a registered charity, it serves hundreds of local people every week.
We are now raising £100,000 towards the cost of our new roof.
Osprey Leisure Centre is a registered charity and has been at the heart of our community for nearly 20 years , supporting families, schools, clubs, and people of all ages and keeping them active. This facility is used by hundreds of people every week, providing a safe and welcoming space for the health and well-being of all.
Back in 1999 South Dorset Community Sports Trust (SDCST) was set up to address the lack of affordable sports and recreational facilities available in the area of South Dorset, especially Portland and Weymouth. When the MOD disposed of the property the local community setup the trust to procure the site for the public back in 2007.
As a charity, we rely on the generosity and support of our community to help us maintain and protect this vital space.
Like many community facilities, we face a constant need for repairs and upkeep across the centre. However, our most urgent priority right now is the roof, which requires essential work, we are looking to raise £100,000 towards the repairs which are estimated to be around £200,000.
Every donation — large or small — will help protect Osprey for the next generation.
